Alex Myers on Revolutionary

Here is a short video of Alex Myers talking about Revolutionary.   I think you will really enjoy hearing Alex speak about his journey to create a fictionalized look at the life of Deborah Samson.

Give it a look.

  1. Cathy, Greatly enjoyed the video with Alex Myers discussing “Revolutionary”. Found the information about the real Deborah as fascinating as the fictional one. Now two-thirds through the book, am finding it difficult to put down! Think the author found clever ways to facilitate Deborah’s successful cover-up through several close calls. He researched that time in history very well to give an authenticity to his description of the way of life for some women, the routines of the soldiers, and the characters’ manner of speech. Thought the interchange of the male and female name of the main character was an effective technique to have the reader focus on the mixed feelings and problems being experienced. It’s a book about how an individual fought for personal freedom within the setting of our country’s fight for freedom. Looking forward to the conference call. -Jo Coskie
