National Poetry Month-poems by Bernard Morrison and Natesha Oliver

Today we are featuring two poems written by P4P members.

******

An American and Her Politics

By Natesha Oliver from Missouri

Slave Laws

Civil Rights Laws

Laws that apply to everyone

but these are laws that

apply to who I can and cannot be

what I can and cannot achieve

These are laws that reawaken An American

And

Reform Her Politics

******

Republicans are red,
Democrats are blue,
And neither one cares
a crap about you.

By Bernard Morrison from Georgia
